What it solves
Gravity shelves
Fronting a refrigerator is the worst job in the store: you open the door, lose cold air and reach deep, and the product at the back still can't be reached. With inclined roller trays, every time someone takes a can the next one rolls down to the front stop, and the cooler looks full without anyone having to straighten it. It also works on dry shelving, but it performs best in the cold.
Less open door
If nobody has to reach in to tidy, the door opens less: less cold loss and lower energy draw.
Usable depth
Load the full depth without stranding the product at the back: the whole tray becomes selling space.
FIFO in the cold
First in, first out. With date-coded drinks, rotation no longer depends on who restocks.
